YMCA of Greater Boston (fifth) is built.

Architect: Shepley, Rutan & Coolidge. The five-building YMCA complex is located at 316 Huntington Avenue. The cornerstone was laid by President William Howard Taft. The 300-bed dormitory is converted to apartments in 1995.* Much of the remainder of the complex is purchased by Northeastern University, which builds a dormitory on the site in 2015.*
